Overall I am thrilled to have been reunited with a childhood classic! I see my alphabet a little differently now, and am excited to share it every morning with my kids. Luckily, she loves her cereal! So this savvy mom has a new trick in her fiber arsenal. I don't know about you, but getting enough fiber into my 3-year can be tough. The cereal has been eaten in homes since 1958 and provides 20 grams of whole grains* and 12 essential vitamins and minerals per serving. To get down to the nitty-gritty, it't actually a good breakfast choice in my mind. I don't think it ever happened, but I would usually attempt to pronounce my nonsense word just for fun. When I was really young I half expected to magically "fish out" a word every time I scooped another spoonful. I remember as a child loving pasta or cereal that was in alphabet shapes. The dry cereal has also made for a fun midday snack for my kids. I knew the difference and are we not entitled to options! I mean should we just let General Mills and Lucky monopolize this even though we get a lot of other limited time cause this show or movies hot wannabe Marshmallow Alphabet! I might be much better speller if they didn't take this away in the middle of my childhood.And what did this Mom think? I like the flavor. I even preferred this over Lucky Charms even though so many people said they taste the same. An educational delicious snack on the go too! What is POST thinking? This is one of their best most marketable product! (Ps - I acknowledge the irony in any spelling errors in this rant, I don't want to blame POST CEREAL'S CANCELLATION of this cereal for my inability to spell, but if it helps get it BACK ON THE MARKET, I insist it was a majority contributory factor.) The important part is that I was learning to spell and getting nutrients at the same time. I learned how to spell dirty and profane words with this cereal. I want my kids to enjoy these like I did. I want the ORIGINAL Alpha-Bits and ESPECIALLY marshmallow Alpha-Bits. I hear the regular is available online but it's $6 a box, roughly, and sadly not the same. Please bring this back! I look at every store for Alpha-Bits. Probably my favorite cereal with marshmallows that I've ever tried. It was one of the more expensive cereals I remember though, so I only got it when we had a coupon. I loved this cereal! Why did they ever stop selling it? :( It was a million times better than Lucky Charms. This was my favorite cereal for the short time it was around. Not sure why they stopped making the marshmallow version. I know they still make Alpha-bits cereal. The oat pieces tasted sweeter than Lucky Charms and the Marshmallows also tasted better. I would love for my grand kiddos to experience it. I wish Post would bring back Marshmallow Alpha Bits. Please sell it in Lubbock, Texas where I live. But the Marshmallow Alpha Bits weren't like that. Lucky Charms aren't as good because sometimes their flavor is kind of gross after it's been in the milk awhile. Marshmallow Alpha Bits was my favorite cereal as a kid. Hope POST reconsiders putting this treat back in the market so others can be happy too! The taste was certainly UNIQUE - simply made me HAPPY. Sadly, it didn't last long on the supermarket shelves. I live in South America and we had the marshmallow ALPHA-BITS cereal being imported for a while. What do you think of Marshmallow Alpha-Bits?
